Not really: both my first year maths supervisor and I were debian people without the other knowing. I have also had random debian users ask me questions in lectures or at work based on the t shirt. And I'm just a lowly peon trapped in the durham bubble..

Pete: Noted. But I think accidentally sharing an appartment with another Debian Developer trumps that. There are only 1000 of us in the world.

Oh, and Dan K has gone from drinking coffee with a Debian person in Oxford to drinking coffee with a Debian person in Durham. but yes, it would only happen at google or a few other places. Anyway, if you are going to flaunt your DD status, go forth and do shit. Like packaging / bug fixing / coding / any one of a ton of stuff....

Pete: there is a difference, I would have thought, between Someone Who Uses Debian (of which I imagine there are many) and Someone Who Develops Debian (of which I know there are relatively few).

Saying that, I am engaged to the only other Gentoo user I know (and to be fair I have now moved to Kubuntu because working my computer is not on my list of talents... the shame)
